FAQ

Here we collect and answer the frequently asked questions.

1

What is the role of the chairman:in the workers' council?

The workers' council does NOT have a hirarchical structure!

The legal position of the workers' council chairman:in is to be seen as a mouthpiece to the outside world to communicate the decision of all workers' council members.

All workers council members, no matter which list they belong to, have an equal voice, all decisions are made by vote, where the majority decides!

The list " Gemeinsam Zukunft sichern"stands behind all employees of Erste Digital with an experienced and well-trained team, which has all the necessary competences for the tasks of the works council.

We act as a team and not as individuals on behalf of our colleagues.

"Great developments never come from one person, they are the product of a team (Steve Jobs)."

2

How do you concretely stand up for Austria as a business location and for the colleagues in Austria? If the goal is that new employees are preferably hired in countries with lower labor costs, this will lead to fewer and fewer employees in Austria in the long term. How do you want to do something against this?

Our workers' council members on the " Gemeinsam Zukunft sichern" list ensure cost transparency by obtaining a constant evaluation of these projects. This has enabled us to determine that wage costs are gradually increasing, especially in SK/CZ, and that the gap to AT wage costs is thus narrowing. Therefore, outsourcing there is becoming less and less "profitable", and the shortage of skilled employees in the IT sector is doing the rest.

We, as the "Gemeinsam Zukunft sichern" list in the ED, are fighting for every single job in AT and have personally been campaigning for many years for their preservation.

3

How do you feel about the home office?

Home office has to be agreed between managers and colleagues. If it makes more sense for one person, it may be almost impossible for another. Not all of us work in an area where it is possible or have a workroom or a stable and sufficient internet connection available. But if we are willing to do home office work, the company should support us with ergonomic furniture (chair and table), monitors and docking stations, stable and fast internet and a replacement for the lunch stand - after all, the company also benefits if our colleagues are better equipped.

The new proposal of the company agreement "Mobile Working" with a 50% attendance requirement at the campus was rejected by the current representatives of the list "Gemeinsam Zukunft sichern" in the workers' council!

4

Who pays for this website?

Our website is designed by the list members and also privately financed. Since we are all IT specialists, the financial effort is limited to the domain and webspace purchase, which is manageable nowadays.

For the design and the content, on the other hand, we have invested a lot of personal commitment.

We work just as professionally and committedly as a list in the workers' council.

5

Why are there several lists for election?

Multiple lists are only a positive sign that enough colleagues in the company care about a activ workers' council. No matter which list you choose in the end, please go to the polls!

6

How do I vote with the absentee ballot?
